About Joshi Hospital & Trauma Centre
In 1991, JOSHI HOSPITAL was started as a Trauma Centre and Maternity Hospital opposite Sports College, as a 16-bedded hospital. The dedication and sincerity of Dr. Mukesh Joshi and Dr. Neelam Joshi made the hospital a one-stop solution for all medical, trauma, obstetrics, and gynecology-related emergencies.
The hospital kept increasing in the number of beds and the number of departments.
In 2005, Joshi Hospital & Trauma Centre shifted to its new place at Kapurthala Chowk, Adarsh Nagar, as one of Jalandhar’s trusted names for orthopedic and trauma care, as a 100-bedded hospital.
What started with a focus on bone and joint treatment has, over the years, grown into a full medical team—departments kept on adding with time, starting with Radiology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Plastic Surgery, and Reconstructive Surgery.
Today, the hospital brings together 30+ doctors across specialties, so patients get more than just an ortho consultation under one roof.
Ultimately, the 16-bedded hospital became a premier institute of the region, starting DNB courses in Radiology and Orthopedics accredited by the National Board of Examinations, and candidates join after NEET exam counseling.
Then, paramedical courses were started in association with Delhi Paramedical Institute in various departments.
Our founding strength, Dr. Neelam Joshi and Dr. Mukesh Joshi, remains the guiding light for the improvement and prosperity of the institute.

Dr. Neelam Joshi
Dr. Neelam Joshi is a senior Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, and healthcare administrator serving as the Managing Director and Medical Superintendent of Joshi Hospital & Trauma Centre in Jalandhar, Punjab. Alongside Dr. Mukesh Joshi, she co-founded the institution in 1991, helping expand it from an initial 15-bed clinic into a prominent multispeciality tertiary care hospital.
Qualifications: MBBS (graduated from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management (PGDHM).
Administrative Role: Oversees hospital management, clinical governance, quality standards, and overall operational administration at Joshi Hospital.
